WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — With a pool of candidates that literally doubled the previous year’s total, WTBA of Tomorrow Board members had their work cut out for them to select just four winners.

A crowd of several hundred people learned why Thursday night.

“The winners – many of whom are here – are truly impressive young men and women,” WTBA of Tomorrow Chair Matt Golden said.  “You would be wise to speak with them and make a connection tonight, potentially finding that employee of tomorrow.”

Golden and WTBA Executive Director Steve Baas presented the four checks (two $5,000 Engineering Scholarships and two $3,000 Engineering Tech Scholarships) to three out of the four winners (Josh Becker was unable to attend.)

WTBA started accepting entries in September.  In December, the Tomorrow Board gathered for an in-person debate and vote on winners.  The Board also had voted earlier in 2023 to increase the scholarship amounts to their current levels.

Generous donations from bidders at the Annual Convention’s WTBA Scholarship Auction help fund the program.
