Winning an award, trophy or plaque is nice, but it’s even more special knowing someone felt strongly enough to nominate you.

Three people working for WTBA member companies will get to celebrate all of that during the 2025 Daily Reporter’s Women in Construction awards.

Zenith Tech cement mason Michelle Hacka won the “Super Sister of the Year,” Walbec Group safety manager Andrea Dosedla won the “Safety Professional of the Year,” and Mead & Hunt environmental discipline manager Mary Recktenwalt won “Mentor of the Year.”

The awards included women from vertical and civil construction and engineering spread across 26 categories.

The Daily Reporter will hold an awards banquet August 22 at the Brookfield Conference Center.
