Batting .300 for your career all but guarantees you a spot in Cooperstown.

WTBA member consulting firms far exceeded that benchmark, “batting” at least .750 on the American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin’s (ACEC) Engineering Excellence awards for 2025.

AECOM, Ayres Associates, Inc., CBS Squared, Inc., Mead & Hunt, Inc., and SRF Consulting Group Inc. garnered “Best of State” awards for projects such as the I-39/90 & I-43/Highway 81 interchange, the Lone Rock Wisconsin River Bridges, and East-West Bus Rapid Transit in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, Ayres, Benesch, CORRE Inc., GRAEF, HNTB, Jacobs, JT Engineering, KL Engineering, MSA Professional Services, Oneida Engineering Solutions, Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc., and Westwood Professional Services won “State Finalist” honors.

A judging panel made up of state and local infrastructure experts voted on submissions which fell into categories impacting human movement, water, vertical structures, utilities/energy, and the environment.

A statewide Grand Award will be announced May 2 at ACEC’s Awards Banquet at the American Club in Kohler, Wis.
