Wisconsin’s longtime Federal Highway Administration point-person has retired after four decades on the job.
Glenn Fulkerson tells WTBA he officially retired Feb. 28.
Fulkerson started serving as FHWA’s Division Administrator for Wisconsin in 2019. He came to the Badger state after 17 years as Illinois’ Division Administrator.
Fulkerson started with FHWA in 1985 after earning a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s from The George Washington University.
Fulkerson was a frequent speaker at WTBA/WisDOT’s annual Contractor-Engineer Conference and worked closely with WTBA Director of Engineering Matt Grove over the years.
Deputy Division Administrator Linda Swann is now serving as acting Division Administrator.
