Onboarding and training skilled workers takes time and money. The state of Wisconsin aims to help employers with the latter, offering nearly $1 million in grants this spring.
The Department of Workforce Development is now accepting applications for its 2026 Wisconsin Fast Forward grants. Companies can receive at least $5,000 (and up to $400,000 for consortium applicants) to reimburse them for training unemployed, underemployed and existing workers.
Recipients must provide a cash or in-kind contribution worth 50% of the amount awarded.
Private organizations across all industries, public agencies, consortiums, and Tribal governments are all encouraged to apply.
