THE INSTRUCTOR
Leo Holm is a retired professional engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Department of Bio-systems and Agricultural Engineering; specializing in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering. Leo worked for 37 years at the Minnesota Department of Transportation and retired as a Section Director in 2006.
He served on the Associated General Contractors of America National Environmental Committee which meets in Washington DC. Presently serves on the University of Minnesota advisory board for the Department of Bio-Products and Bio-systems Engineering Erosion and Stormwater Management Certification Training and the Minnesota Seeders Association Governing Board.
Leo has authored and published several articles in Land and Water magazine including: “ Implementing the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan” “What’s With All the SWPPP Contractor Inspection Reports?”
He has worked with local and state officials by providing guidance and training, and helped set up Storm Water Management Certification training programs in six midwestern states. Presently he works with the University of Minnesota on their certification program and is part of their certification team.
