State Senator Patrick Testin (R-Stevens Point) loves connecting with the people he serves by experiencing their livelihoods — even if just for a day.
“In college, I worked in factories, lumber yards, loading docks to help pay for my education because I was taught early on that there was dignity in all forms of work,” Testin told WTBA.
Testin started his “On the Job” series during his first term (elected in 2016), spending a full day with employees in various lines of work.
That included a night shift with a paving crew along I-39 in 2018.
Now a member of the Joint Finance Committee, and assigned a special focus on transportation funding, Testin shares his thoughts on the future of the industry and how lawmakers can ensure a safe, reliable, and effective transportation system.
